Al-Masad — The Palm Fibre
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
111:1
The Palm Fibre
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ١
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and he ˹himself˺ perish!
111:2
The Palm Fibre
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ٢
Neither his wealth nor ˹worldly˺ gains will benefit him.
111:3
The Palm Fibre
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ٣
He will burn in a flaming Fire
111:4
The Palm Fibre
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ٤
and ˹so will˺ his wife, the carrier of ˹thorny˺ kindling
111:5
The Palm Fibre
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ٥
around her neck will be a rope of palm-fibre.
