سورة الصافات
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
37:1
Those drawn up in Ranks
وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ صَفًّا١
By those ˹angels˺ lined up in ranks
37:2
Those drawn up in Ranks
فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًا٢
and those who diligently drive ˹the clouds˺
37:3
Those drawn up in Ranks
فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا٣
and those who recite the Reminder!
37:4
Those drawn up in Ranks
إِنَّ إِلَـٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌ٤
Surely your God is One!
37:5
Those drawn up in Ranks
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ٥
˹He is˺ the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, and the Lord of all points of sunrise.
37:6
Those drawn up in Ranks
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ٦
Indeed, We have adorned the lowest heaven with the stars for decoration
37:7
Those drawn up in Ranks
وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَـٰنٍ مَّارِدٍ٧
and ˹for˺ protection from every rebellious devil.
37:8
Those drawn up in Ranks
لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ٨
They cannot listen to the highest assembly ˹of angels˺ for they are pelted from every side
37:9
Those drawn up in Ranks
دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ٩
˹fiercely˺ driven away. And they will suffer an everlasting torment.
37:10
Those drawn up in Ranks
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ١٠
But whoever manages to stealthily eavesdrop is ˹instantly˺ pursued by a piercing flare.
37:11
Those drawn up in Ranks
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍۭ١١
So ask them ˹O Prophet˺, which is harder to create: them or other marvels of Our creation? Indeed, We created them from a sticky clay.
37:12
Those drawn up in Ranks
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ١٢
In fact, you are astonished ˹by their denial˺, while they ridicule ˹you˺.
37:13
Those drawn up in Ranks
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ١٣
When they are reminded, they are never mindful.
37:14
Those drawn up in Ranks
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ١٤
And whenever they see a sign, they make fun of it
37:15
Those drawn up in Ranks
وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ١٥
saying, “This is nothing but pure magic.
37:16
Those drawn up in Ranks
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ١٦
When we are dead and reduced to dust and bones, will we really be resurrected?
37:17
Those drawn up in Ranks
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ١٧
And our forefathers as well?”
37:18
Those drawn up in Ranks
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ١٨
Say, “Yes! And you will be fully humbled.”
37:19
Those drawn up in Ranks
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ١٩
It will only take one Blast, then at once they will see ˹it all˺.
37:20
Those drawn up in Ranks
وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ٢٠
They will cry, “Oh, woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!”
