The Mount
سورة الطور
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
52:1
The Mount
وَٱلطُّورِ١
By Mount Ṭûr!
52:2
The Mount
وَكِتَـٰبٍ مَّسْطُورٍ٢
And by the Book written
52:3
The Mount
فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ٣
on open pages ˹for all to read˺!
52:4
The Mount
وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ٤
And by the ˹Sacred˺ House frequently visited!
52:5
The Mount
وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ٥
And by the canopy raised ˹high˺!
52:6
The Mount
وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ٦
And by the seas set on fire!
52:7
The Mount
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌ٧
Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will come to pass—
52:8
The Mount
مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍ٨
none will avert it—
52:9
The Mount
يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا٩
on the Day the heavens will be shaken violently
52:10
The Mount
وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا١٠
and the mountains will be blown away entirely.
52:11
The Mount
فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ١١
Then woe on that Day to the deniers—
52:12
The Mount
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ١٢
those who amuse themselves with falsehood!
52:13
The Mount
يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا١٣
˹It is˺ the Day they will be fiercely shoved into the Fire of Hell.
52:14
The Mount
هَـٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ١٤
˹They will be told,˺ “This is the Fire which you used to deny.
52:15
The Mount
أَفَسِحْرٌ هَـٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ١٥
Is this magic, or do you not see?
52:16
The Mount
ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ١٦
Burn in it! It is the same whether you endure ˹it˺ patiently or not. You are only rewarded for what you used to do.”
52:17
The Mount
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ١٧
Indeed, the righteous will be in Gardens and bliss
52:18
The Mount
فَـٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ١٨
enjoying whatever their Lord will have granted them. And their Lord will have protected them from the torment of the Hellfire.
52:19
The Mount
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ١٩
˹They will be told,˺ “Eat and drink happily for what you used to do.”
52:20
The Mount
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ٢٠
They will be reclining on thrones, ˹neatly˺ lined up ˹facing each other˺. And We will pair them to maidens with gorgeous eyes.
