The Inevitable
سورة الواقعة
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
56:1
The Inevitable
إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ١
When the Inevitable Event takes place
56:2
The Inevitable
لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ٢
then no one can deny it has come.
56:3
The Inevitable
خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ٣
It will debase ˹some˺ and elevate ˹others˺.
56:4
The Inevitable
إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّا٤
When the earth will be violently shaken
56:5
The Inevitable
وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّا٥
and the mountains will be crushed to pieces
56:6
The Inevitable
فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءً مُّنۢبَثًّا٦
becoming scattered ˹particles of˺ dust
56:7
The Inevitable
وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ثَلَـٰثَةً٧
you will ˹all˺ be ˹divided into˺ three groups:
56:8
The Inevitable
فَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ٨
the people of the right, how ˹blessed˺ will they be;
56:9
The Inevitable
وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ٩
the people of the left, how ˹miserable˺ will they be;
56:10
The Inevitable
وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ١٠
and the foremost ˹in faith˺ will be the foremost ˹in Paradise˺.
56:11
The Inevitable
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ١١
They are the ones nearest ˹to Allah˺
56:12
The Inevitable
فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ١٢
in the Gardens of Bliss.
56:13
The Inevitable
ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ١٣
˹They will be˺ a multitude from earlier generations
56:14
The Inevitable
وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ١٤
and a few from later generations.
56:15
The Inevitable
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّوْضُونَةٍ١٥
˹All will be˺ on jewelled thrones
56:16
The Inevitable
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَـٰبِلِينَ١٦
reclining face to face.
56:17
The Inevitable
يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ١٧
They will be waited on by eternal youths
56:18
The Inevitable
بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ١٨
with cups, pitchers, and a drink ˹of pure wine˺ from a flowing stream
56:19
The Inevitable
لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ١٩
that will cause them neither headache nor intoxication.
56:20
The Inevitable
وَفَـٰكِهَةٍ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ٢٠
˹They will also be served˺ any fruit they choose
