Listen
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
94:1
The Consolation
أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ١
Have We not uplifted your heart for you ˹O Prophet˺
94:2
The Consolation
وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ٢
relieved you of the burden
94:3
The Consolation
ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ٣
which weighed so heavily on your back
94:4
The Consolation
وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ٤
and elevated your renown for you?
94:5
The Consolation
فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا٥
So, surely with hardship comes ease.
94:6
The Consolation
إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا٦
Surely with ˹that˺ hardship comes ˹more˺ ease.
94:7
The Consolation
فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ٧
So once you have fulfilled ˹your duty˺, strive ˹in devotion˺
94:8
The Consolation
وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب٨
turning to your Lord ˹alone˺ with hope.
